Hi all! I have a spent three different days of collecting pix of some animals who live at the Kensington Metro Park In Michigan. I love this place. There are so many things to do. They shoot of great fire works in here on 4th of July!. They had Heron days this last weekend. Different tents are set up with things for kids and adult kids like me. There was the Ford Amature Astronomy Club with their telescopes. They let you look at the sun. It was the day of the solar eclipse. I loved seeing the flairs that rise up from the suns surface. The turtle was out for kids to pet and me of course. You can not touch thier head, they get colds from us. The gardener snake was wonderful. She had babies and they were let go on the nature center grounds. Gardner snakes have live births. So, they are not in a shell and are ready to rip right away. Her tongue tickled and so did she when I held her. They had a clown act and a pool filled with living things like a baby salamander, a boat man( a bug w/ a water bubble body part under his belly so he can float) ,a baby green frog tadpole, and little water bus. I loved the dragon fly larvae. It swims in water. It has big eyes and its wings are to the side. They wriggle around. When it evolves to an adult, it rises above the water and drys out. I will research that. The butterfly guy was there with a beautiful white Tiger Moth. I Love Animals! Great totem friends.
